Hello Eagles & Silver Wings -
The board has been busy getting ready for the 2021 season and we can’t wait to get started! This newsletter will be long, and it has some new important information so please read all of it.
Please keep in mind that the club is run strictly on a volunteer basis and done so by using the guidelines set forth by the league. We are looking forward to an awesome 2021 Season!
RECRUITING -- WE NEED YOUR FRIENDS!
Each Team & Squad has room for growth to add players and dancers to our teams. Because COVID19 happened right in the middle of our prime recruitment time and our access through the schools has all but disappeared, we are working hard to fill all of the Eagles & Silver Wings teams before the season starts at the end of July. Flag is Kindergarten-1st Grade, tackle is 2nd – 6th grade. Silver Wings Squads start with the Mini Wings at age 4 to Kindergarten and our Junior & Senior competitive squads are 1st - 6th grade.
REGISTRATION EVENT ACTION REQUIRED
We will have a Registration Event & Spirit Night at Red Robin on Tuesday, April 27th from 4 pm -8 pm.
This will be the time for you to turn in your registration fee which is $175.00, your Fundraiser or Fundraiser Buyout and secure your registration.
If you are a new athlete you MUST submit your required documents to the following emails to secure your spot on the roster.

The Required Documents for NEW athletes are: Report Card, Birth Certificate, Utility Bill & Photo. (NEW Legacy Siblings need to submit documents also)
NEW ATHLETES: Please note that your registration is PENDING until we have your documents sent to the league and approved. We MUST verify all documents before placing an athlete on a team, so please send in your documents ASAP to secure your spot on the team. Spots are limited, so the quicker the documents are verified the better, then we can officially welcome you as an EAGLE or a Silver Wing!
If you are not sure the league has received your documents please reach out to us and ask! We can help. If you already sent in your documents, WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!!
This will also be the time for you to turn in your volunteer deposit check $250 (Cheer & Football) and Equipment Deposit check $200 (Football Only)
This check needs to be post-dated for December 1, 2021 and is NOT cashed unless you do not fulfill your volunteer hours that are outlined in the handbook. You will receive the checks back at the end of the season pending no penalties requiring the club to cash them.
Fundraiser Buyout: If you selected the fundraiser buyout – the cost is $150. You can turn in your buyout at the Red Robin Registration Event on April 27th, or at the Cheer Parent Meeting (May 16th) or Equipment sizing in May (TBD). This check, along with the registration check will be cashed immediately (unlike the previously mentioned checks which are held to the end of the year).
Please make all checks out to AAYFDT.
AAYFDT CODE OF CONDUCT
Please read the Code of Conduct with your player and family members. Every family member must abide by the AAYFDT code of conduct at every AAYFDT function which includes all Klein Eagles & Silver Wings events.
AAYFDT LEAGUE EXPECTATIONS
AAYFDT Policies and Procedures and Rules of Competition are published on the league website (www.aayfdt.org) for review. It is everyone's responsibility to adhere to league expectations. Good sportsmanship and respect are expected at all events, both on the field and in the stands.
KLEIN EAGLES & SILVER WINGS HANDBOOK
Please read the Klein Eagles Handbook and/or the Klein Silverwings Handbook which is attached to this email and on the Klein Eagles Booster Club Website. You will need to sign the electronic Google form acknowledgment below indicating you have read and understand the league’s rules.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM ACTION REQUIRED
Every participant and participant's family are responsible for reading and understanding the AAYFDT Code of Conduct, AAYFDT Policies and Procedures, AAYFDT Rules of Competition, and Klein Eagles/Silver Wings Handbook. Here is the link to electronically sign the Eagles Acknowledgement Form and/or the Silver Wings Acknowledgement Form online .
FUNDRAISER ACTION REQUIRED
If you selected the fundraiser option - we are selling Poppin' Popcorn this year for our fundraiser - you will have to sell $300 worth of 1-gallon bags of popcorn or elect to do the fundraiser buyout. If you are interested in selling the popcorn, please reach out to the Fundraiser Coordinator, Tonya Curtis to set up a time/date to pick up the forms or you can register online (see below). You can also pick up a popcorn form at the Registration Event on April 10th. Tonya can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org April 10th & June 1st is the due date for all orders.

A. Go to “Seller Registration”, enter your Group ID# 118652 to create your seller ID
B. Enter in the required fields and upload a picture of yourself for your family & friends (uploading a photo is optional).
C. Once you register, you're ready to start selling online, via Text, Social Media & Email.
If you selected the fundraiser buyout – the cost is $150. You can turn in your buyout at the Registration event/AAYFDT Clinic on April 10th, 2021 or the Sizing meetings in May (TBD).
The KEBC is in need of sponsors. Sponsors help our organization run smoothly and provides us with all the extras that we need for our kids. If you know anyone that may be interested in sponsoring our organization please pass them a sponsorship packet, you can find those on our website or at this Sponsorship Link. Your help in helping finding sponsors for our organization is greatly appreciated and can cover your registration AND fundraiser fees.
Here's how to do this:
- Covers Registration & Fundraiser Fee for 1 Athlete.
- Covers Registration Fee & Fundraiser Fee for 2 Athletes.
Please note: this is per child & there is no limit on how many sponsorships you can bring in per family. Checks need to be made out to AAYFDT.
